Bumbo

We finally decided to get a Bumbo. It has been so much fun. He loves to sit in it. I think he likes it so much because he can see everything. He always wants to look around and see whats going on!

He is doing so good sitting up. I am so proud of him.

Playdate with Miss Savannah

Today we went over to Mrs. Stacey's house to play with Savannah. Oh my how adorable she is! Savannah is 3 weeks younger than Ty. She is only 11lbs. Holding her was like holding Ty when he was born! We had so much fun meeting little miss Savannah. Her and Ty would look at each other and just smile. Ty also learned alot about animals. Savannah's big brother Jackson gave Ty a lesson on all kinds of animals in his book. Thanks Jackson for teaching Ty. We'll come back again soon for another lesson. Here are the kids ready to go to FIVE GUYS. YUM YUM! Thanks Mrs. Stacey, we had lots of fun.

4 Month Check Up

So today was another dreaded doctors visit. Ty had to get his second round of shots. Growing up my mom would always say "if I could take the pain away, I would" or " I wish I could get the shots for you". Until now, I never really understood how true those statments were. I would do anything to take the pain away for him. I hate to see him cry so hard. Not only did he have to get 2 shots, his circumcision started to reattach. Not knowing what they would do to fix it, he cleaned his little pee pee and then yanked the skin back. The doctor said it would not be bad. I begged to differ. It broke my heart. Ty only cried for a few seconds though so maybe it wasn't as bad as I thought. (It sounded bad though didn't it.) The doctor said he is looking good both physically and developmentally. Here are his stats:
Weight: 17lbs 6ozs. 90%
Length: 25 1/2 inches 70%
Head: 17 5/8 inches 90%

He is starting to slow down in the growing. My back says thank you! Here are some fun things Ty is doing at 4 months:
  • He is sitting up, but still needs some assistance with balance.
  • He has the cutest belly laugh. When he gets excited or I kiss under his chin he just laughs so hard.
  • He rolled over for the first time on St. Patricks day! He was laying on his stomach and all of a sudden he said scwoop and just flipped over. He rolled back to is stomach, but did this only once. Since then, he has rolled over from his stomach to his back numerous times.
  • He is teething! Drool, drool, and more drool!!!! We can go through some bibs.
  • He is starting to like baths. I got this fish that spits water at learning express and he thinks it is funny when I squirt him with it.
  • He likes to hold his bottle all by himself. If I am holding it, he will hold my hands (so I wont take it away).
  • He is able to hold all kinds of toys and takes them straight to his mouth.
  • Ty's favorite thing to do is watch TV. I know, what a bad mother, but it either that or hold him and i cant put on mascara holding a 17lb baby!

He gets so excited in his exersaucer!

Chillin in Momma's bed!

Grumpy boy!

Growing So Fast

I can hardly believe that my baby will be 4 months old this Saturday. He is growing like a weed. Ty has already been grasping at things, holding them and putting them in his mouth, laughing out loud, smiling at me, letting me know when he gets frustrated, and is just about to ROLL OVER! It is so funny! Once he gets going with his legs and arms, he gets right on the verge of rolling and then flips back the other way. It should happen any day now. He holds his head up real well. We are practicing on sitting up a little too! He is very ticklish on his feet and under his arms. The swing is still is favorite place to be, besides in my arms. His feet are still a quick fly by for him. he will catch them with his eye every once in a while but hasn't caught them yet.

I believe he is teething too! He chews on his hands and has excessive drool! I was 4 months when I cut my first tooth and I have been told your children follow your milestones. I think we might get some teething cookies soon. He loves to put anything in his mouth so I can't wait to see his reaction to a cookie! I will give you all his new stats after his 4 month check up next week.
