I had my 24 week check up today. It went really well. I have been very anxious to get to it since I have been pretty yucky sick since 2 Saturdays ago. I tried some over the counter meds to help with a sinus infection and they did nothing for me. I was to the point of not eating or sleeping. I finally called the doctor and he called me in a prescription for a Z Pack. It started working with in 2-3 days. I am still a little congested, but the doctor says that is normal when you are pregnant. I got a little nervous this past Tuesday. The little one wasn't moving like he normally does and it had me all in a tizzy, but first thing Wednesday morning he was pack to the punching pag (my bladder). His heartbeat today was 148-150. The doctor said he is growing pretty fast. When he measured my stomach he said I had grown alot from my last visit. I just know I am going to have a 10lb baby. My blood pressure looks great. I am having to watch it very carefully since I was on meds before I got pregnant. On my next doctors visit I will have to take the glucose test, woopeee! I also am going to have another ultrasound done to measure the growth of the baby. That should be interesting.
I am hoping to get some pics of my belly this weekend. We are also planning on buying the baby furniture and bedding this weekend. I am so excited. I will post some pics once we get the furniture in.

20 Week Ultrasound Pics
Sorry I wasnt able to get the pics up until today. We left early on Friday from work and headed to Charlotte to look at baby furniture. We had a blast. I bought my first 2 outfits for the baby. One set was a Nike outfit and the other was some puppy dog gowns. We had lots of fun shopping.
Here are the pics. I picked out the best ones we had of him.

This is a 3D pic of him from a side view. He is laying on his hand and his forhead is at the top. His arm covers up his chin.

This one was funny because he was flexing his bicep muscle at us. We all had a good laugh at that. I guess he was trying to show us who was in charge. We did push and prod a good bit.

These are of his arms and legs. His legs are pointing strait out and he has his arms crossed over his face.

And last but not least, IT'S A BOY! The arrow is pointing to his manhood. It might be kinds hard to see on the computer, but it is there.

What we have all been waiting for!!!!
So are you ready to know what we are having?! It's a BOY!!!!! We are so excited. When the nurse started the ultrasound, I just knew it was going to take forever to find out the sex after our last experience with it. Nope! Right away she said hello little boy. Travis quickly responded "it's a boy?????!!!!!" He was elated. I started to cry and never stopped through the whole ultrasound (which took 45 minutes). Our technician was awesome. She explained everything we were seeing. She sent us home with 15 pictures. This little boy is already showing many mannerisms of his daddy. First of all he sleeps with his hands under his head, just like his daddy, he doesn't like to take pictures, just like his daddy, and he is STUBORN, JUST LIKE HIS DADDY. I have a feeling this is going to be a daddy's boy and not so much a mommas boy. Hopefully he wont pick up habits from him like not eating vegetables and liking real expensive toys.
Here are some stats from our visits. The baby is weighing in at 1lb and I am 20 weeks and 5 days along, but the baby is measuring at 21 weeks and 4 days. He's a growing boy. He is in the 92 percentile which is excellent! His heartbeat was 157. The nurse said he is in a breach position, but not to worry, there is time for him to turn. I am already praying to God that he gets in the right position. I really want a natural birth (with an epidural or 2, of course!).
I have lots of pictures to show, but I have not scanned them in yet. I will try to get it done tomorrow at work. There is a real funny one where he is flexing his bicep muscle at us. It is too cute.
Well, I am off to look at baby furniture and bedding. Now the work begins. Hope everyone is well.

We're back!
We are back from Hilton Head and I am finally getting a chance to write a quick post. It was a much needed vacation and we enjoyed it to the very last day. Our days in Hilton Head consisted of alot of laying by the pool, sleeping in, and chillin on the couch watching movies (some of our favorite things to do). We also went kayaking down Broad Creek and saw Dolphins and Sting Rays and different types of birds. I tore Travis up on the PAR 5 Putt Putt course. It was beautiful. My parents came down late Wednesday night and all of us went to Harbour Town and walked to the top of the Litehouse. You can see the 18th hole at Harbour Town Links (Tiger plays this course)and Daufuskie Island. We also went to South Beach and ate at Salty Dogs (BEST KING CRAB LEGS EVER). The wait was only 2 1/2 hours. We had a really good time. We left Hilton Head on Saturday and went to Charleston for my cousin Brandy's wedding. It was beautiful. After that we headed home and I could not wait to sleep in MY BED.
Just a quick bit about the baby. I am definatly showing. That's exciting. I am counting down the days until July 3. My prediction is the baby is a boy, but we shall see. Hope all is well with everyone. Here is a quick pic from Hilton Head at the top of the Litehouse.

My Husbands Child!
The verdict is in. This is Travis's child. I wanted to find out soooo bad what the sex of the baby was before I went out of town. Travis talked to the nurse while I gave "samples" and told her I wanted to find out the sex and she said the doctor just wouldn't do it today. Well, I just casually asked him and told him I was going out of town and really wanted to know and he said..Hold on and got an ultrasound machine. The nurse came in and was like...I can't believe you got him to give you an ultrasound.
The doctor said if he could see anything, he would tell us the sex, but couldn't make promises. Here is where "this is Travis's child come in" . I am so excited and ready to find out and then all of a sudden the stubbornness of Travis comes out in the baby and it won't turn for us to "see". I am pushing and prodding and still nothing. I bet "it" is like: This is my show and I will tell you when I want you to know. That is so my husband.
Then, the whole time they are looking at the baby, I am laying there not being able to see anything and listening to them: there's a foot, this is his femur, that is the head. Travis got to see everything while I layed there and pushed on the baby and tried not to pee on myself.
All in all, the appointment went great. Blood pressure is still real good and the baby's heartbeat was beautiful. It is amazing how fast tears can come to someones eyes the moment they hear a heartbeat. My next appointment is on July 3. This is when they do the BIG ultrasound where they take all kinds of measurements and I WILL find out the sex. They said it should take about an hour. It should be fun. So far, I have liked all the doctors in the practice that I have seen. The one today was rather cute. Anyway, I am heading for the beach and will post again when I return. Love to all.

Just a little eager
I have changed my next Dr.'s aapointment from June 5 to June 12. I wanted to wait one more week to see if they could possibly see the sex of the baby on the ultrasound. I will be 18 weeks when I go in on the 12th. Usually they can tell the sex by then. I am not possitive they will do an ultrasound when I go in, but you can bet I am going to beg beg beg. I am so ready to find out what we are having.
I am starting to get a little belly and that has been fun. Two of my friends, Heather and Kate, have given me tubs of maternity clothes. I am so excited about going through them.
Speaking of Heather, she had her twins a few weeks ago. They are beautiful. She named them Collin Christopher (6lbs 12oz) and Cooper Wellington (6lbs 14oz). I believe I got the ounces right. I know the pounds are. I kept them for the first time Saturday night, BY MYSELF. I was a little nervous at first, but breezed right through it. I believed I lucked up a little. The boys were on their best behavior. As I fed Cooper, I put Collins pasie (sp?) in his mouth and he was content until I finished feeding his brother. They did not cry but for maybe a minute and I have learned that baby boys pee AS SOON AS YOU TAKE THEIR DIAPERS OFF. I had to change both boys outfits because they so graciously wet the ones they were in. Hats off to Heather for all her hard work. She has her hand full with both twins and her 2 year old Mason. I am sure she is happy to see Scott come home at the end of the day.
