Logan's First Month

Whew...I had almost forgot how much work a newborn was....but Logan was sure to remind me.  She is such a good baby.  Breastfeeding is going well. Not having to supplement at all.  You go girl, and me!  Becuase I am such a lucky girl, my mom and dad have come over at night to help and my sister has come some too.  They stayed up with her through the night and I just had to wake for the feedings.  Wow. What 3 straight hours of sleep will do for ya.  Logan has started sleeping for a longer period of time only if she is laying on my chest.  Let's just say, we have spent many a nights on the couch sleeping.

So here are her 2 week stats:
Height: 23 1/2 inches
Weight: 9lbs 3oz
Head: 14 3/4
I forgot to write down the percentiles.

So here's how it went down...

So here's how it went down....On March 29th I was home cleaning a little.  I started with contractions around 2 pm....by 6;30 they were pretty good.  My sister came over to check on me.  She was a bit excited. She hung around for a while and finally I sent her on her way.  I told her if I needed her I would call.  Well, I tried to hold on for a while.  Around 2 am I finally called the doctor.  Dr. Stands was on call.  I really like him. I knew my doctor came on call at 8 am.  She delivered Ty and I really wanted her again.  But that didn't work.  I had to call Missy.  It was time to head to the hospital.  This time Travis didn't lay in bed.  Haha.  I got my shower.  Didn't rush too much and we headed out the door.  These contractions were beginning to be a tad bit much. By the time we reached the hospital, walking was no fun.  Finally, I got checked in and hooked up to a monitor.  Oh boy the pain.  The contractions were coming FAST so they gave me a shot of something to slow them down. uh...that hurt.  It slowed them down but not the intensity. I was having another C-section and Dr. Stands was waiting to hear from the hospital to see if he needed to come in.  I believe that was a yes.  Come on in.  Lets have a baby.

No joke contractions!

That smile means I am close to delivery!

One more family photo op!   Missy woke him up to be there with us.

Pure Joy!

Luke's First Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKE!

What a day.  A day that is so different than I thought it would be.  Never did I imagine that Logan would be celebrating his day with us.  Oh how I miss him.  With every bone and fiber of my body.  To just hold him one more time.  And I will.  One day. But for now, JESUS gets to hold him.  How awesome is THAT!  Luke, I can't imagine what a birthday celebration in Heaven must be like, but I am sure it is some kinda party.  You are ONE.  I bet you are walking now.  I'm sure Grandma Colleen has put a fishing pole in your hands and Nana Lynn has cleaned you up over and over.  I can see the smile on your face right now.
So this is how we celebrated here.  I was still not able to drive, so grandma and grandy took us to see you.
Ty wanted to bring you a balloon.  It had pictures of balloons on it as well.  He said you would like it.  I'm sure you did.  Logan had fun getting out of the house as well.  We had you cupcake flag with the pinwheel up.  Tell God I said thank you for the breeze.  It was wonderful to see it spinning. Once we got home, we had cake and sang you happy birthday.  Sure wish you were here to blow out the candles.  We miss you so much.  Love you forever!

Birth Day Photos

Here's a few from the day!

Travis never left her side!

So this is rare.  As you know, our son Luke spent his four weeks of life in the NICU here.  Because of this, we had a NICU doctor in the delivery room for Logan's birth.  You know, to make us parents feel better and to make sure our bundle of joy was perfect.  Well, after a clean bill of health, Travis walked Logan down to the nursery.  Not a common thing as babies are required to be in their bassinet when not in their room.  I think our NICU doctor (which let me tell you, she is a gift from God) knew getting Logan out of Travis's arms may have been a tad bit hard.  I don't think he could wait to show her off.  He was beaming.  (I think I may have been throwing up from the drugs in the back at this point, haha) I do all this work and he gets the fun part. J/K.

Karate

So Ty's cousin Gavin had his birthday party at the karate studio.  MY SISTER thought Ty was so cute out there learning the moves SHE signed him up for it.  It has been so much fun to watch.  He really does enjoy going and coming home to show daddy what he has learned.  (You cant turn your back on him because he will sneak attack you with a ninja chop.)  He has most of the moves down pat and has done better with his jumping skills.  Mr. Jerry is his teacher, or what ever you call him, and he listens to him very well.  One more thing to remind me he is growing up.  These pictures are from his graduation.  My phone is full of pics from him in class but I didnt get them on here.

FIREBALL!!

Nice job!

Just a little distracted....

He moved up to a yellow belt with a white stripe!
We are so proud of you Ty.  You grew so much in this class. Mommy and Daddy couldn't be more happy.  We love you!
