Day at the Zoo
I love the zoo. Now that Ty knows all the animal sounds and does them on his own, it is fun to walk by an animal and hear him make their noise. Grandma and Ali joined us on this particular visit.
Ali is by far Ty's favorite person, well maybe Gandy (grandaddy) coming in real close. He absolutely adores her. He follows her everywhere and does what she does. She is like a mother hen to him. She takes very good care of him. Always feeding him and making sure he is not thirsty.
This was funny. Ali was a little afraid of the giraffes' tongue. I got a kick out of it. They are very gentle when they eat. I was surprised.
Ali and Ty had on matching outfits. He will kill me when he gets older but that is OK. It was cute.
Ty loved the fish exhibits. He kept referring to NEMO as every fish. He was enthralled with the alligator. It was like they were staring at each other. Kinda creepy.
These flamingos STUNK. This was funny because I made Ali stand there while I took a picture. It really did smell bad.

Autism Walk for Riley
What a day this turned out to be. We went on an Autism walk for a friend of ours who's little girl has Autism. I love to support causes like this especially when I know I am helping a friend out. We were already excited about it being at Finlay Park but really got excited when we realized that ELMO was there. My son has absolutely NO fear of ANY large size character. Even when we are at the mall and the Chick-fil-A cow comes out he has to be pried away from him. Here is Ty with his FAVORITE. ELMO!!!! He could not get enough of him.
Here is Ty hugging Cookie Monster all on his own. The hard part is getting him to let go of the hugs.

I tried to get him to take a pic with me but I made him mad because I kept him from playing with Elmo.

The State House
Ty and I took a field trip to The State House and boy was it exhausting.
First of all, I had a picnic packed with lots of fun snacks and drinks, books to read and balls to kick. Ask me, did we use any of that? Nope. Ty had is own agenda and it included: chasing squirrels and birds and people, running through bushes, running down sidewalks, talking to complete strangers, chasing squirrels some more and then climbing steps. You would think the climbing steps would wear a kid out. Not so much.
Here is Ty on the backsteps of the State House. He had so much fun running around and watching the other childern that were there on field trips.
Here is a brief moment where I had him contained and got him to eat something.

Ty's Favorite 2 Summer things
Here are Ty's 2 FAVORITE summer things to do.
1. Play in the sand box. He would be in that thing for HOURS if I would let him. I have it in the garage to keep the bugs out and so he can play out of the sun. The sand unfortunatly is mortar sand so it sticks to everything even his skin. You can not just wipe it off. So, I filled up his pool and after the sand box we ALWAYS get in to get the sand off so we dont take it all inside.

2. In the pool. That is his second favorite thing to do. Either at home or at the neighborhood pool. He loves the water.

"Camping" with the Carnaggio's
My sister loves to camp. Me, I'm not the first to jump on it, although I will go. They went to Dreher Island for a couple of days, so Ty and I decided to stop by and camp for a few hours. It was too much fun. Ty had a blast. He got in a real tent for the first time, went fishing and boat riding for the first time too! He loved it all.
Here is Ty getting his pole ready for fishing.
I hate crickets. I have fished all my life but I have never baited with crickets. I could never hold them. I always had my grandma do it for me if that was the only bait we had. My son on the other hand is fearless. That goes for a lot of things too. Aunt Missy showed him the crickets and he reached right in for them. Not once but time after time he stuck his hand in there and CAUGHT THEM!!!! I almost died but tried not to show him how terrified I was.

Here we are taking a break. Ty is always saying "look at me"!!!!
Ali and Erin on the boat. They are such good friends.

Ty liked the boat but did NOT like the wind in his face. He thought it was funny when the water would spray up and hit him in the face.

Ali is Ty's absolute favorite person. She can get him to do anything!
Ty also go to help Uncle Tony drive the boat. He liked to honk the horn, ALOT.
Now we are back fishing and Aunt Missy/Ty caught a fish. Once again, Ty is fearless. He grabbed the fish. No second thoughts about it. I freaked out because my dad is really allergic to fish and I am not sure if Ty is as well. He cracked up laughing at it every time it jumped around.
