7 Months Old

Yes I am a little late in posting but man have we been busy. It seems like Ty is doing something new everyday. He sits up very well, with still an occasional fall. He plays with BIG toys and little toys and switches them back and forth in his hands. He has 2 teeth now, both his lower middle. We have slept through the night more now that I have started letting him cry it out. Boy does that break my heart, but he learned in about 3 -4 days to go back to sleep (he likes to sleep in our bed). He LOVES to spit! He will make a motorboat sound with his mouth and spits goes everywhere. He is saying more "words" and sounds everyday. Some of them are DADADADADA (i do not associate this with daddy because Mommy is going to be is first word) babababba, and lots of coos and ahhhhhs. He is very attentive. He likes to play alone and with someone else. He responds well to his name Ty and to Moosie, Grandmas nickname for him that got from the doctor after he called him a Moose. He still likes to have his diaper changed because I always sing him a song, it goes like this: Stinkerooooooo....stinkerpoooo woo woo, Momma's stinkeroooo stinkerpoo! He thinks it is funny. We just went and got him a pair of stride rite shoes. Ty does not like tummy time too much and looooves to stand up so we are going to practice walking. For 7 months he is dang good. He puts one foot in front of the other and holds out his arms. I know it is early to start that, but hey he likes it. I really believe he will walk before he crawls.

I still enjoy rocking him to sleep every night. I know some people think that is bad and he should lay down on his own, but I love that quiet time together.

The Beach

We went to the beach and let Ty put his feet in the sand. He would dig his toes around in it. It was cute. Here are some family shots

I can't wait go back. I think our next trip is to Hilton Head. I love it there. Last year, I went canoing while I was 5 months pregnant. Lets just say I was UBER exhausted when I was done. I dont think I will be doing that with Ty this time.

Cute pics and a funny

One quick funny. While we were at the beach, we stayed at the Sheraton on the 7th floor. He's been on an elevator before at the mall but for only 1 floor and was fine. Well, this time was not so smooth. He DID NOT like the elevator. If he was in his stroller he would SCREAM!!!! If I was holding him, he would hold on to me sooooo tight. It was so funny, but I felt so bad.

Well here are the pics:

Swimming

Oh no....have I got myself a swimmer. Ty got to go swimming for the first time this weekend at the beach. Travis and I took him Friday and he had a BLAST. He was spalshing, kicking, and laughing. It was really funny when he would splash himself in the face. It startled him so much it took his breath. It was so much more of a splash than it is in the bathtub. We took him again on Saturday when his gma and gpa came down. He pitched a fit that day when we took him out. He wanted to get back in!!!! Here are some pics of his first swim.

Ty's First Tooth

We have our first tooth after days of fussiness, drool, drool, knawing, drool, chewing, and more drool. He has been teething for a while but the last 2 weeks have been crazy. The tooth is his bottom left. It came in on June 1st. The one next to it is just about through. You can see it under his gums. Next I think it will be his right eye tooth. We will see though. Here is the not so good attemp to a get pic of it.
