We're back!

We are back from Hilton Head and I am finally getting a chance to write a quick post. It was a much needed vacation and we enjoyed it to the very last day. Our days in Hilton Head consisted of alot of laying by the pool, sleeping in, and chillin on the couch watching movies (some of our favorite things to do). We also went kayaking down Broad Creek and saw Dolphins and Sting Rays and different types of birds. I tore Travis up on the PAR 5 Putt Putt course. It was beautiful. My parents came down late Wednesday night and all of us went to Harbour Town and walked to the top of the Litehouse. You can see the 18th hole at Harbour Town Links (Tiger plays this course)and Daufuskie Island. We also went to South Beach and ate at Salty Dogs (BEST KING CRAB LEGS EVER). The wait was only 2 1/2 hours. We had a really good time. We left Hilton Head on Saturday and went to Charleston for my cousin Brandy's wedding. It was beautiful. After that we headed home and I could not wait to sleep in MY BED.

Just a quick bit about the baby. I am definatly showing. That's exciting. I am counting down the days until July 3. My prediction is the baby is a boy, but we shall see. Hope all is well with everyone. Here is a quick pic from Hilton Head at the top of the Litehouse.

My Husbands Child!

The verdict is in. This is Travis's child. I wanted to find out soooo bad what the sex of the baby was before I went out of town. Travis talked to the nurse while I gave "samples" and told her I wanted to find out the sex and she said the doctor just wouldn't do it today. Well, I just casually asked him and told him I was going out of town and really wanted to know and he said..Hold on and got an ultrasound machine. The nurse came in and was like...I can't believe you got him to give you an ultrasound.

The doctor said if he could see anything, he would tell us the sex, but couldn't make promises. Here is where "this is Travis's child come in" . I am so excited and ready to find out and then all of a sudden the stubbornness of Travis comes out in the baby and it won't turn for us to "see". I am pushing and prodding and still nothing. I bet "it" is like: This is my show and I will tell you when I want you to know. That is so my husband.

Then, the whole time they are looking at the baby, I am laying there not being able to see anything and listening to them: there's a foot, this is his femur, that is the head. Travis got to see everything while I layed there and pushed on the baby and tried not to pee on myself.

All in all, the appointment went great. Blood pressure is still real good and the baby's heartbeat was beautiful. It is amazing how fast tears can come to someones eyes the moment they hear a heartbeat. My next appointment is on July 3. This is when they do the BIG ultrasound where they take all kinds of measurements and I WILL find out the sex. They said it should take about an hour. It should be fun. So far, I have liked all the doctors in the practice that I have seen. The one today was rather cute. Anyway, I am heading for the beach and will post again when I return. Love to all.

Just a little eager

I have changed my next Dr.'s aapointment from June 5 to June 12. I wanted to wait one more week to see if they could possibly see the sex of the baby on the ultrasound. I will be 18 weeks when I go in on the 12th. Usually they can tell the sex by then. I am not possitive they will do an ultrasound when I go in, but you can bet I am going to beg beg beg. I am so ready to find out what we are having.

I am starting to get a little belly and that has been fun. Two of my friends, Heather and Kate, have given me tubs of maternity clothes. I am so excited about going through them.

Speaking of Heather, she had her twins a few weeks ago. They are beautiful. She named them Collin Christopher (6lbs 12oz) and Cooper Wellington (6lbs 14oz). I believe I got the ounces right. I know the pounds are. I kept them for the first time Saturday night, BY MYSELF. I was a little nervous at first, but breezed right through it. I believed I lucked up a little. The boys were on their best behavior. As I fed Cooper, I put Collins pasie (sp?) in his mouth and he was content until I finished feeding his brother. They did not cry but for maybe a minute and I have learned that baby boys pee AS SOON AS YOU TAKE THEIR DIAPERS OFF. I had to change both boys outfits because they so graciously wet the ones they were in. Hats off to Heather for all her hard work. She has her hand full with both twins and her 2 year old Mason. I am sure she is happy to see Scott come home at the end of the day.
